Most of us have had road bikes for years. It was a tough choice to start using a touring bike but we are glad we did. As our slogan says "Go fast enough to get there, but slow enough to see"; without our slow and steady bikes, we might have missed the opportunity to stop and see the landscape.
We met 20 people from Quebec who are traveling from Vancouver to Montreal on their road bikes. They whipped by us on the road but we did get the chance to compare trips at a rest stop.
Both groups are enjoying riding across Canada, each on their own terms.
